Patients often have a consultation and then are treated the same day. At your consultation, we will perform an examination to discuss your concerns and goals. We look at your current health and medical history making sure you’re a good candidate for dermal filler treatment. This ensures a safe procedure that provides you with your desired result.

It is also during this consultation that we will determine if a Restylane® filler is right for you or if a different type of FDA-approved filler would be better suited for your needs.

Post-Treatment Care, Downtime, and Results

01 / Post-Treatment Care

Following any dermal filler treatment, you may experience some bruising and swelling. This will subside over 24-48 hours. Over the next several days, your results will become more apparent as the HA draws moisture to the area and the initial treatment swelling subsides.

With proper post-treatment care, the true beauty of your enhancements will be evident as you enjoy your rejuvenated, youthful appearance.

02 / Downtime

There’s little to no downtime associated with Restylane®; however, we recommend that you avoid direct sunlight or exercise for 1-2 days following your treatment. We also recommend that you avoid aspirin and alcohol for several days following treatment, as these work as blood thinners that can make post-procedure bruising worse.

These precautions help minimize the risk of additional redness, swelling, and itching at the injection sites and contribute to a smoother healing process.

03 / Results

Approximately two weeks after your treatment, you will return for a follow-up to make sure your results are progressing as expected. We may administer a little bit more filler during this time to improve your results.
