The Juvederm filler we choose for you depends on your needs, goals, and treatment area. In fact, we may recommend one of our other FDA-approved dermal fillers or a combination of other aesthetic services we offer in our aesthetics clinic.
Juvederm fillers are considered safe for most patients; that is why, after numerous clinical studies, each Juvederm injectable filler was FDA-approved in patients 21 and older.
Some patients should not receive Juvederm or other dermal fillers, including:
- Women who are pregnant or nursing
- Patients with a lidocaine allergy
- Anyone who has had an adverse reaction to HA fillers in the past
We will determine if Juvederm is safe for you during your personalized consultation.
Absolutely! Patients frequently get Juvederm and BOTOX treatments on the same day.
Cost varies depending on the type of Juvederm filler and the number of syringes you’ll need to see results. Call our office for more information and get a full treatment quote during your personalized consultation.
Prior to your injectables treatment, we can apply a topical lidocaine and/or use ice to numb the area. Each syringe of Juvederm also contains lidocaine, an injectable anesthetic. Most patients describe a tolerable sensation of pinching during skin penetration.
Restylane and other HA fillers are cosmetic treatments, but they are also medical treatments. It’s important to be informed and choose the best providers to ensure a safe procedure with good results. Our answers to common Restylane questions can help you get started, but we also recommend that you call to speak with our team about your personal needs.
All Restylane fillers are FDA-approved for use in patients 21 and older who want to:
- smooth fine lines, wrinkles, and folds
- restore lost facial volume
- enhance, restore, or provide symmetry to the lips
- augment or restore cheek fullness
- restore hand fullness for a more youthful look
Restylane fillers have gone through numerous clinical trials to test for safety and efficacy in the treatment areas they are administered.
Restylane filler longevity varies depending on the type of Restylane filler used and the treatment area. Restylane Silk for lip enhancement can last between 4-5 months, while Restylane Defyne lasts approximately 12 months. Another variation in Restylane filler longevity is patient metabolism. As everyone is different, your filler results will vary compared to other patients. Discuss expectations with your provider during your consultation and follow-up appointments.

The Y LIFT® is more precise and goes deeper than traditional dermal filler applications, which plump the skin.
All areas of the face can be treated using the Y LIFT® non-surgical facelift technique. The focus of the procedure is to provide you with overall facial balance, symmetry, and contours.
The Y LIFT® procedure can take as little as 15-30 minutes and shows instant results. It is performed right in our Pure 111 practice in O’Fallon, IL.
While we don’t use general anesthesia for Y LIFT® non-surgical facelift procedures, we will administer injectable lidocaine to ensure your comfort. Patients report no pain during this treatment.
No incisions or stitches are required with the Y LIFT® non-surgical facelift procedure. By using syringes of injectable filler, we are able to administer treatments through very small ports, just like with any other dermal filler technique. The only difference is that the filler is placed under the muscle.
There is little-to-no downtime with the Y LIFT® procedure. However, some patients have reported mild headaches and soreness following treatment. This is normal and will subside within 24 hours. You can take over-the-counter acetaminophen to manage any post-treatment discomfort. Do not take products that contain aspirin, as these can increase bruising.
You will likely experience some bruising and swelling after treatment. These side effects should subside within a few days. To reduce bruising severity, stop taking blood thinners (with your physician’s approval) like aspirin, ibuprofen, and other NSAIDS (non-steroidal anti-inflammatories). Avoid alcoholic beverages and smoking for several days before and after your procedure.
