What Is Halo Laser?

HALO™ Laser Treatment is the world’s first hybrid fractional laser. It utilizes not one, but two different wavelengths of light to target multiple layers of the skin at the same time. The wavelength designed to target the top layer of the skin, the epidermis, renews texture and pores by ablating old layers of skin. Meanwhile, the other wavelength rejuvenates the bottom layer of the skin, the dermis, repairing sun damage, correcting skin pigment, and plumping up the tissue by stimulating the tissue to produce more of its own collagen.

Not only do you target these issues at the source, but the lasers pair to create a synergistic effect. The ablative laser helps remove the thick outer layers of the skin. This layer, the stratum corneum, helps your skin keep toxins out. However, when you are undergoing restorative non-ablative laser therapy, it can also cause your skin to retain the imperfections after treatment. As a result, by temporarily removing that layer, HALO™ Laser Treatment allows us to shave 1-2 days off healing time compared to traditional non-ablative laser treatments, allowing you to get your desired look much faster than before.

By combining the renewing power of ablation and the rejuvenating strength of a non-ablative laser, we can create a premier skin resurfacing tool. By addressing multiple layers and issues at once, HALO™ Laser Treatment is able to accomplish what other treatments do, in only a fraction of the time

Who Is It For?

While skincare needs are as diverse as the skin itself, HALO™ Laser Treatment allows for complete customization of each of its dual lasers’ power and depth. This allows your practitioner to precisely target your skin’s needs, in a way that works with your skin architecture and pigment, rather than against it. This allows HALO™ Laser Treatment to treat problematic skin across all of the Fitzpatrick skin types and across all areas of the body. Through customization, HALO™ Laser Treatment is able to treat wrinkles, fine lines, sun damage, scar revision, signs of aging, pigmented lesions, shrink pores and treat even specific medical conditions such as actinic keratoses.

What To Expect

On the day of your procedure, your esthetician will apply a soothing topical anesthetic 30-60 minutes before the procedure to prep your skin. When the laser is applied, it also has an integrated cooling technology that provides cool air to the treatment area offering an additional calming sensation. The facial rejuvenation session itself typically takes about 45 minutes. We can keep the total time in office to around 2 hours as HALO™ Laser Treatment requires nearly no recovery time and absolutely no occlusive post-care.

Your skin may be red and slightly tender, similar to a mild sunburn, for a day or two following your treatment. Skin peeling is also common as the epidermal layer turns over, removing old skin cells and replacing them with fresh, younger-looking skin. However, patients can often be back in make-up within 24 hours and go back to work within a couple of days. Finally, most patients will see noticeable improvements after only one or two treatments
